Meet The Horses
At PY Equestrian Services, our horses are also our family.
Meet our very special lesson horses.

Gambler
Carsoncitygambler, known as Gambler, is the horse that helped shape the foundation of PY Equestrian. After his passing in April 2026, his legacy continues to guide and inspire PY Equestrian. Gambler was an 18-year-old rescue Off-the-Track Thoroughbred gelding who excelled in English disciplines, particularly jumping. He was known for his kind nature and his love for peppermint treats and watermelon.

Honey
Sweet, dependable, and easygoing, Honey is our friendly Quarter Horse. An 8-year-old rescue from Pilot Point, Texas, she enjoys relaxed, sunny days but is always happy to turn the barrels or pop over a small jump when asked.

Oliver, known as Ollie is our newest Thoroughbred rescue. An 8-year-old Off-the-Track Thoroughbred with a background in western trail riding, he's known for his gentle nature and even has a different halter for every season.

Tiger
Tigers Shot, known as Tiger, is another Thoroughbred rescue continuing his journey forward. At 15 years old, this Off-the-Track Thoroughbred is friendly, curious, and always ready to make a connection - whether with people or other horses.

GQ is our resident "senior" lesson horse. At 22 years old, this semi-retired Hanoverian Warmblood has a background in dressage and brings experience and steadiness to the program. He enjoys a cold shower and the company of his fellow horses.

Jewel
Jewel, true to her name, is a standout in the barn. A 17-year-old Off-the-Track Thoroughbred rescue all the way from Virginia, she has a strong personality and keeps everyone in line - always expecting her treats in threes.
At PY Equestrian Services, everything is built around a simple idea: horses and people learn best when they feel safe, understood, and supported.
Founded and operated by Peyton York, PY Equestrian Services offers riding lessons for ages 8 and up, including adults. The program welcomes riders of all experience levels, from complete beginners to those with horses of their own looking to build on their skills.
Peyton brings over 15 years of experience in the equine industry, with a background that includes everything from professional grooming to barn management to assistant training. That hands-on experience shapes a well-rounded approach to teaching, where both horse and rider are thoughtfully considered in every lesson.
Safety is a top priority at PY Equestrian Services, not just in the obvious ways, but in how lessons are structured, how horses are matched with riders, and how confidence is developed over time. The goal is for every rider to leave each lesson feeling more comfortable, capable, and proud of their progress.
The program also emphasizes that horsemanship goes beyond riding. Riders are encouraged to learn about horse care, behavior, communication, skills outside of the saddle, and building a meaningful connection between horse and rider.
The horses themselves are a big part of what makes PY Equestrian Services special. Each one brings their own personality, strengths, and story to the program, playing an important role in helping riders learn and grow.
In addition to lessons, PY Equestrian Services offers dependable equine support services, including exercise rides, hauling within 3 hours of Fort Worth, TX, tack care, and providing horse owners with knowledgeable and reliable assistance.
At its core, PY Equestrian Services is about more than just learning how to ride. It’s about building confidence, creating strong foundations, and developing lasting connections with horses.
